From 7 to 28 February 2026, Open Air Live Music at the Square brings together original artists, ambient soundscapes and global beats — all set beneath Melbourne’s night sky.
Expect candlelit intimacy, expansive performances and a program that moves effortlessly from laid-back listening to full-bodied dancefloor energy.

Garage Band
Saturday 7 February, 5pm–7.30pm | Main Square
A one-day showcase celebrating Victoria’s next generation of musicians, Garage Band returns for its fourth year. This free talent quest puts emerging artists front and centre, turning the Square into a platform for fresh sound and raw creativity.
Candlelight Concerts
Tuesday 10, 11 + 12 February, 8.30pm–9.30pm | Main Square
Intimate outdoor concerts illuminated by candlelight across three summer evenings. Featuring Australian icon Tina Arena, Melbourne indie favourites Folk Bitch Trio and rising R&B artist Dean Brady.
Nongkrong – Pasar Senja (Twilight Fair)

A Valentine’s Day celebration of contemporary Indonesian culture, Nongkrong returns with food, music, dance and community. A lively twilight fair that invites you to linger, explore and connect.
Silent Cinema with Live Scores

A weeklong open-air cinema experience pairing silent film classics with live musical scores. From Chaplin and Keaton to Wu Yonggong and Jean Epstein, films are reimagined through performances by leading DJs and composer-musicians.
Afro Caribbean Carnival
